To honor America's 250th Anniversary, Blackout Coffee created Liberty Barrel Roast — a special release crafted from premium Nicaragua Caturra & Catuai washed coffee, carefully aged in genuine 15-year Kentucky bourbon barrels before roasting. The result is a rich, remarkably smooth coffee that captures the character of the barrel while allowing the quality of the coffee itself to shine.
Liberty Barrel Roast opens with rich caramel sweetness and warm vanilla notes from the bourbon barrels. As the cup develops, layers of toasted oak, brown sugar, and subtle baking spice emerge — creating a remarkably smooth and complex experience. The finish is rich, smooth, and slightly whiskey-like without containing any alcohol.
Every cup captures the essence of freshly emptied American oak bourbon barrels while maintaining the integrity of a high-quality specialty coffee.
